Earnnest Instructions

Earnnest is a mobile app that agents can use to request EMD funds from their buyers to be held with our brokerage. Frederick currently has MD, PA, WV, and VA setup and Columbia has MD setup to receive funds. It is an $18 fee to the client (cheaper than a wire) and is guaranteed funds and fast. 1. Download the app 'Earnnest' on your phone. 
2. Click Request Payment (you will need the clients email) and then click Begin. Please note PNC does not partner with Earnnest and will not work. If your buyer has PNC, they will need to write a check or if necessary, wire the funds to our escrow account (see your MCA for assistance)
3. Enter the Street Address that the client has ratified the contract on (confirm the details are correct before moving on), click confirm address
4. Enter the EMD amount, hit continue
5. Enter the payer's email address (this must go to the person that is paying the EMD, they will receive a link to their email to pay directly and it cannot be forwarded to another email)
6. Search for Escrow Holder: 

• FREDERICK EMD (for Frederick Agents + PA licensed agents in both offices) accounts are labeled as "KWRC FREDERICK - STATE EMD Funds" ex: MD Property, you'd search "KWRC FREDERICK - MD EMD FUNDS" Frederick holds 4 escrow accounts: MD, PA, WV and VA
• COLUMBIA EMD (for Columbia Agents + DC licensed agents in both offices) accounts are labeled as: "KWRC COLUMBIA - STATE EMD Funds"          

              ex: MD Property, you'd search "KWRC COLUMBIA - MD EMD FUNDS" Columbia holds 3 

              escrow accounts: MD, VA and DC

        7. Notifications: Please add anyone that may need to receive notifications on when the EMD                    has been deposited. (Listing agent, title, lender, etc.) They will not see any private information, once   completed hit 'Finish Setup'

        8. Please review the details to ensure accuracy and then swipe at the bottom to send the request
